Mango ‘Duet’ mocktail to beat the summers!

Tempting and refreshing!

Every day, except on Sundays, my mother in law keenly watches the Telugu cookery show ‘Abhiruchi’ on ETV. Of late, I too am hooked to this show, though I can watch it only on Saturdays. Nevertheless, the various recipes demonstrated and cooked by the ‘humble’ Chef Rajugaru are simple and wonderful. I love the way he makes beautiful food carvings on every show.

Last week, I happened to watch the recipe for ‘a mango mocktail’ demonstrated on this show. Though they called it as: Raw mango mocktail’, I adapted the recipe, to some extent and included the word ‘Duet’ as this mocktail encompasses raw and ripe mango, too!

What is a mocktail?
A mocktail is a mixed drink comprising of fruit juices and water or carbonated soda. This does not contain alcohol. This name is derived from the work ‘mock’ which means to imitate or mimic, a cocktail. A cocktail is a mixed alcoholic drink.

About ‘Mango Duet’ mocktail:

Summers have set in with full vigor and I am always looking to concoct, various thirst quenching drinks or rather mocktails.
Here comes a wonderful thirst quenching cooler which combines both, raw and ripe mango along with the sweetness of strawberry, imparting a beautiful hue to this summer drink.

The long lasting ‘cooling’ flavors of raw and ripe mango, blend well with the rich taste of strawberry, creating a wonderful medley of ‘thirst quenching’ flavors!

Cook with love and interest. Ingredients are only 80%, rest is your energy and emotion that comes through the food.
