Chutney with radish? At first, I was surprised. First of all,  I had never prepared a dish with radish before. And was wary about trying it for the first time. At the same time, I thought of first making it and then judging it – without any preconceived notions. Thus went ahead and made, yet another tasty Andhra chutney.

The outcome was indeed delicious! A yummy chutney spiced with the sharpness of onions, nuttiness of the dal and laced with the richness of curd. No, doubt, a wonderful medley of ingredients blended beautifully to be savoured with hot rice!

This chutney is very easy to prepare and needs only 10 minutes to whip it up!

Radish and curd chutney
Instructions
  1. Grate radish and keep aside. Chop onion and green chillies to fine pieces and keep aside.
  2. Heat a small pan. Add oil. When it is warm, add urad dal and mustard seeds. Saute well.
  3. Add turmeric powder, and hing. Mix well.
  4. Add chopped onion, green chillies and saute for a minute. Put off the heat.
  5. Let this cool.
  6. Add curd to the above mix and garnish with coriander leaves.
